Foscarini Buds Pendant

The Foscarini Buds Pendant is the elongated suspension from the Buds range, designed by Rodolfo Dordoni. Its blown glass diffuser and organic bud-like profile make it a considered pendant for ambient, downward illumination.

The design explores a family of complementary shapes and colours and is intended to work equally well as a single feature or in composed groups. The Buds 1 elongated form emphasises a slender, ovate silhouette that reads as both sculptural and quietly functional.

The shade is crafted in multi-layered blown glass with a smooth, polished surface that gives the diffuser a substantial yet refined presence. A thin steel aircraft cable takes the load while a separate flexible power cord follows a sinuous line alongside the suspension.

The glass acts as a high-quality diffuser, softening the internal source and reducing glare, while the open or flattened base directs a clear beam of light downwards. This combination makes the pendant suitable for general ambient illumination above dining tables, islands or seating areas where a calm, focused glow is required.

Installation is by suspension using the slim steel cable; the accompanying power cord sits visually beside the cable. The fitting is rated IP20 and intended for interior use only; please note lamps and driver information are provided separately by the manufacturer.
