The Foscarini Anisha Table Lamp, designed by Lievore Altherr Molina, is a sculptural desk lamp that pairs a minimalist silhouette with practical light performance. Its form is conceived to deliver semi-diffused ambient light alongside a controlled direct downward beam for task use.
Formally the design is an organic, elliptical frame that creates a prominent central void: the halo-like aperture fills with light while the continuous body reads as a single, pared-back volume. The lamp is typically finished in a liquid-coated white that emphasises its monolithic appearance.
Construction uses two joined liquid-coated injection-moulded ABS shells that form the diffuser, with a fine seam following the profile. A die-cast zinc alloy ballast is integrated into the base to give the piece secure stability on desks and tables. A transparent power cable exits discreetly from the lower frame.
Light is provided by a hidden LED source integrated into the upper inner rim of the frame, directing illumination into the central opening for a soft halo and providing a direct downward component for tasks. The result is balanced, low-glare light suitable for both ambient layering and close work.
Controls and supply are straightforward: a touch dimmer switch is inserted into the base of the diffuser to switch and adjust brightness, and an electronic transformer on the plug is supplied. The Anisha is IP20-rated for interior dry areas and carries a one-year manufacturer warranty. The integrated LED means no replaceable lamps are required.
Specifying the Anisha is a design-led decision: its sculptural presence resolves form and function cleanly, while the integrated controls and clear installation notes support confident project outcomes.
