Formally the fitting uses an exceptionally long, slender tubular arm mounted to a vertical wall bracket; a tension wire and conical counterweight balance the arm so it can pivot horizontally and tilt vertically. The lamp head also incorporates a swivel joint for precise aiming. It is available in White, Black and Chromatica finishes.

Construction is informed by straightforward mechanical clarity: painted steel for the arm and wall fixture, a painted-steel reflector with chrome-plated brass reflector support, and a cast-iron tapered counterweight.
