CVL Luminaires Storm Pendant

The CVL Luminaires Storm Pendant, designed by Emilie Cathelineau for the Storm range, reinterprets the classic storm lamp as a pared-back, vertical pendant. Its refined silhouette and brushed gold/brass aesthetic place it firmly within considered, contemporary interiors while providing a focused, downward illumination.

The design is defined by a minimalist 'tuning fork' silhouette: an upright U-shaped frame formed from slender metal rods with a central vertical cylinder housing the light source. The pendant is offered in multiple variants and the very thin suspension cables create a floating, visually light composition.

Construction details include a circular ceiling canopy with a small central stem and a short inverted U-shaped horizontal bracket. The visible components present a brushed gold or brass metallic finish and the lower frame is built from slender metal rods, emphasising geometric clarity.

Light is delivered from a central vertical cylinder mounted within the base of the lower U-shaped frame, producing predominantly downward, localised or ambient illumination. The two-point cable suspension maintains balance and vertical alignment, preserving the design's precise symmetry.
