STORY

The CVL Luminaires Saturne Pendant, designed by Hervé Langlais, is a ceiling-suspended pendant that pairs a mouth-blown opal triplex glass globe with a slim metal ring and canopy to deliver soft, considered ambient light.

The design references a celestial form: a rounded, opaline globe intersected by a flat metal disk at an oblique angle. It is offered in Satin Brass, Satin Graphite, Satin Nickel and Satin Copper, and available in Extra-Large and Extra-Small sizes.

Construction combines mouth-blown opal triplex glass with solid brass metalwork finished in satin tones. The fitting includes a textile-wrapped suspension cable and a rigid metal rod above the canopy; the ring integrates into the glass with a seamless, finished appearance.

The opal glass diffuser softens output to reduce glare and spread light evenly, creating a calm ambient atmosphere. Typical specification notes indicate a warm 2700K colour point with an output around 800lm, making the pendant suitable for general lighting in living areas, bedrooms and considered public interiors.

Several suspensions can be grouped from a single pavilion: a rectangular canopy can be custom-made to length and a circular canopy is offered in illustrated sizes (circular option has a maximum diameter of 440 mm). Pendants are sold individually and are shown paired for illustration. The product carries a two-year manufacturer warranty.
