STORY

The CVL Luminaires Moulures table lamp, designed by José Lévy, pairs a perfectly spherical opal glass diffuser with a sculptural architectural base that references Haussmann mouldings. It is conceived as an interior table lamp that functions both as ambient illumination and a decorative design object.

The design contrasts a smooth, minimalist globe with a complex, stepped moulure profile set into a rectangular block base. The Moulures range is offered in Glossy White and Glossy Black, enabling simple coordination with contemporary or classic schemes.

The globe is made from translucent opal white glass and the base is constructed from metal; the material was confirmed as metal despite a plaster-like appearance. A wide, flat-bottomed base provides stable support for placement on flat horizontal surfaces.

The opal glass globe diffuses light from an internal source to deliver soft, omnidirectional ambient illumination. This makes the lamp suitable for bedside tables, consoles and living areas where a calm, balanced atmosphere and gentle shadow control are required.
