The CVL Luminaires Louis Pendant, designed by Emilie Cathelineau for the Louis range, is a ceiling-hung interior pendant that blends a refined, elongated metal stem with a shallow, saucer-shaped glass shade. The silhouette is intentionally transitional, offering a calm, considered profile for domestic and contract interiors.

The design pairs a very thin, tapering neck with a wider trumpet-style base and a broad glass diffuser. The Louis pendant is offered in Satin Copper, Satin Graphite, Satin Nickel and Satin Brass; it is available in Small and Large sizes and with glass options in Opal, Clear & Patterned or Opal & Patterned.

Construction comprises a circular metal ceiling canopy, a slim suspension cable and a metal lamp head that leads into the glass shade. The shade is a translucent, softly textured glass with a light swirled finish that reads like classic alabaster while remaining contemporary in form. The ceiling canopy includes side screws to secure the fitting to its mounting bracket.

The broad, patterned glass acts as a diffuser to deliver softened, ambient light distribution rather than a harsh beam, making the Louis pendant a calm source of general illumination or a considered layer over dining or seating areas. The cord-hung design allows for height adjustment during installation so the pendant can be positioned for proportion and balance.

Multiple pendants can be clustered from a single canopy; either a circular canopy (supplied in specific sizes) or a rectangular canopy (which can be custom-made to suit site requirements) can be used to create linear or clustered compositions. Each pendant is supplied as an individual fitting and may be specified in combinations to suit an overall scheme. The range carries a two-year manufacturer warranty.
