STORY

The CVL Luminaires Calee Floor Lamp is a floor lamp from the Calee range by Duo Pool for CVL Luminaires. Its architectural silhouette — a tall vertical stem topped by a generous drum — is composed to deliver considered ambient lighting in interior spaces.

Design highlights include a slender brushed-metal stem rising to a large white fabric drum shade and a heavy horizontal cylindrical base in a dark, textured finish. The Calee is offered in Satin Brass, Polished Graphite, Satin Graphite, Polished Brass and Satin Copper, and comes in Large and Small sizes.

The shade is reinforced with thin metallic rims at both top and bottom and is supported by a multi-spoke metal framework that connects the drum to the central stem and ensures the shade remains centred. The vertical stem passes through the horizontal cylinder base in an offset position, creating a deliberately asymmetrical, geometric composition.

The white fabric drum provides soft, diffused ambient light appropriate for living areas or other interior spaces where balanced, low-glare illumination is required. The contrasting warm metal stem and dark textured base emphasise material balance as part of the design intent.
