The CVL Luminaires Arborescence Pendant, designed by Hervé Langlais, is a ceiling-mounted pendant from the Arborescence range. Its form pairs a tall cylindrical drum shade with a distinctive branching metal support, a design cue that references the collection's tree-like geometry and translates well to both domestic and considered commercial interiors.
The pendant is arranged around three supporting rods that descend from a circular ceiling canopy: two rods angle outwards to join the shade rim while a central rod continues through the shade to create a strong vertical axis. The fixture is shown in a brushed brass or gold metal finish with a translucent off-white fabric shade; the range is scalable and available in different sizes, with made-to-measure heights on request.
Construction combines a soft textile shade with minimalist metalwork. The fabric drum diffuses light to reduce glare, while the open base allows direct downlight. The result is a balanced combination of ambient illumination and task-capable downward light, suitable for living rooms, dining areas and reception spaces.
This pendant is intended for hardwired ceiling installation. LED and DALI control versions are available on request and heights can be specified to suit the scheme.
