The CVL Luminaires Arborescence Floor Lamp, designed by Hervé Langlais, presents a sculptural, branching silhouette that reads as both furniture and light for interior spaces. The piece pairs a tall cylindrical drum shade with a three‑rod support that evokes an arborescent motif, intended for ambient interior illumination.
Formally the lamp balances a narrow, bundled stem that divides into a tripartite fork to secure the shade. The external metal supports frame the shade visually, creating a calm interplay of metallic line and soft diffuse surface. The range is scalable and offered in different sizes, with LED and DALI versions available on request for projects.
Construction combines a translucent matte off‑white cylindrical shade and a metal frame finished in a warm satin brass/gold tone. The base is a thin, flat circular disc supported on small rounded feet, delivering a slim footprint with stable support for the tall profile.
Light is delivered from an internal source and is softened by the full‑height translucent shade, giving even, ambient distribution rather than focused task light. The exterior supports also help limit direct glare by framing the shade and maintaining separation between the lamp and its surroundings.
