STORY

CTO Lighting Avalon Pendant is a ring-shaped pendant from the Avalon range by CTO Lighting, designed to deliver considered overhead illumination with a sculptural presence. The piece references natural stone through a ring of translucent panels set within a slim metal profile.

The fixture forms a rhythmic, segmented ring: vertical, translucent rectangular panels create a stone-like texture around a dark-finished metal rim. The repeating segments give the pendant a calm, architectural silhouette while the open centre allows light to pass downward. The range is offered in multiple variants to suit different scales.

Construction pairs a slim metal upper and lower rim with semi-opaque, stone-effect diffusing segments. The pendant is suspended on four thin aircraft cables that maintain a level orientation. A 2500mm stainless steel suspension power cable is supplied and can be adjusted on site; additional cables are available at extra cost.

Light is delivered both laterally through the translucent panels and downward through the open centre and bottom, producing balanced ambient illumination with gentle warmth and reduced glare. The segmented diffuser breaks light into soft planes, helping to model surfaces and reduce harsh shadow.
