City is formed from multiple rectangular metal sheets of varying sizes assembled in an overlapping, collage-like arrangement. The surfaces are hand-worked with a vertically ribbed texture and finished in contrasting gold and silver leaf for a rich, dual-tone effect.

Hand-blown glass inserts are integrated between the metal plates at the top and base of the cluster, adding surface texture and helping to break and soften the light. The metal finishes have an antiqued appearance with a protective transparent topcoat that preserves the artisanal surface.

The internal light source is positioned behind the metal plates to provide indirect illumination, producing layered reflections and a considered play of light and shadow across the wall.
