STORY

The Bega Outdoor Surface-Mounted Downlight is a compact metal ceiling fitting from German manufacturer Bega. Its clean, cylindrical drum form and minimalist architectural lines suit porches, balconies and covered walkways where reliable overhead illumination is required.

The design is deliberately restrained: a two-part cylinder divided by a subtle horizontal seam, with the light source deeply recessed to minimise glare. It is offered in White and Graphite, and available with 3000K or 4000K colour temperatures to match warm or neutral exterior schemes.

Construction is metal with a matte, powder‑coated finish and a light grey or metallic interior rim that reflects light and improves output efficiency. The fitting has a refined, screw‑free appearance that reads as considered and architectural on external ceilings.

Light is delivered downward from the recessed aperture, making this fitting suitable for direct overhead illumination in external covered zones such as porches, balconies and sheltered walkways. The recessed source and reflective interior help control glare while maintaining effective light output.

The fitting is designed for direct surface mounting to ceilings and carries an IP65 rating for protection in outdoor settings. Standard warranty is two years; extended warranties up to five years can be provided for project work where agreed in writing.
