Astro Minima Round Recessed Downlight

Astro Minima Round Recessed Downlight is a compact architectural ceiling fitting from Astro designed to deliver directed, minimal-profile illumination for general and accent tasks.

The luminaire shows a circular aperture recessed into a flat trim plate to achieve a trimless, understated ceiling presence. It is available in Black and Matt White finishes, with a high-contrast matt-black internal baffle that creates a focused, 'dark light' aesthetic.

Construction features a rigid frame with a smooth, non-reflective internal baffle and a clear protective lens with a prismatic texture to aid beam control. The visible bezel is matt white where specified while the internal cylinder is finished in matt black.

Light is delivered downward by a single GU10 lamp (max 50W) into a deep-set baffle that provides a high cut-off angle to reduce visual glare. The textured lens supports diffusion and beam shaping; some variants list a GU10 LED 4.1W 2700K dimmable lamp but lamp supply may vary. The fitting is class I (earthed) and has an IP20 rating.

Installation notes: this downlight is wired-in and does not require a separate driver. Install after plastering; recess depth is 150 mm. Cutout shape is round with a hole saw diameter of 76 mm (3 in). Dimming compatibility is lamp dependent — choose a dimmable GU10 lamp and matching control for dimming.
