Artemide Discovery Pendant

The Artemide Discovery Pendant, designed by Ernesto Gismondi, is a slim circular suspension luminaire that reads as a floating disc when installed. Its broad emitting surface is conceived to deliver uniform illumination and is particularly suited to working environments where even, comfortable light is required.

Discovery's form is deliberately minimal: a thin metal frame contains a large, flat, white translucent diffuser to create a clean, architectural presence. The pendant is offered in Bronze, Black and Satinized Aluminium finishes to integrate with a range of contemporary interiors.

Construction pairs a narrow perimeter frame with a wide illuminated surface to emphasise an immaterial, low-profile silhouette. The visible diffuser is a white translucent panel that outlines the light source and gives the fixture its characteristic uniform glow.

The fitting uses an integrated panel light to produce even, glare-controlled illumination across the disc. It is suspended by three thin metallic support cables and a separate slender electrical cord; the suspension height is adjustable during installation. The Discovery is rated IP20 for indoor use and is supplied with a 5-year manufacturer warranty.
