STORY

The Anglepoise Original 1227 Pendant is a pendant ceiling light from Anglepoise, designed by George Carwardine as part of the Original 1227 range. The design adapts the collection's stepped shade silhouette to a ceiling suspension, delivering directed downward illumination.

The shade features a two‑tiered geometry that flares into a bell-shaped lower section, paired with a tactile braided fabric cable and polished chrome cap. It is offered in Linen White and Dove Grey to suit considered interior palettes.

Constructed in metal with a white interior to optimise light reflection, the pendant includes a chrome-plated cord grip and a ceiling rose with a diameter of 10cm. The shade measures 14cm in diameter and 15cm in height, supplied on a 150cm cable.

The Original 1227 pendant provides direct, task‑oriented light that works well over a small table, in a hallway cluster or as a focused feature. With its reflective white interior and compact shade, it produces clear downward illumination while the braided cable adds texture to the composition.
