STORY

The Anglepoise Original 1227 Midi Pendant, designed by George Carwardine as part of the Original 1227 collection, is a ceiling-mounted pendant that provides directed downward illumination from a suspended position.

The Midi sits between the standard and Maxi sizes with a distinctive bell-shaped profile: a flared lower rim and a stepped, narrower dome at the top. It is offered in Jet Black, Linen White and Dove Grey to suit considered interior palettes.

Constructed in metal with a matching domed ceiling rose, the pendant uses a fabric-braided suspension cord and traditional polished chrome fittings. The interior of the shade is finished in white to maximise light reflection. Key dimensions are shade diameter ⌀23cm and shade height 25.5cm; ceiling rose diameter is ⌀10cm and the supplied cable length is 150cm.

The pendant delivers focused, downward light ideal for task illumination or to form a series for a striking architectural run. Use singly or grouped to create a clear, balanced pool of light that reads as both industrial and refined.

Installation allows the suspension height to be set on site using the fabric cord; the product carries an IP20 rating and is intended for interior dry zones.
