STORY

The Anglepoise Original 1227 Pendant is a large-scale ceiling pendant from Anglepoise's Original 1227 range, originally designed by George Carwardine. Its iconic task-lamp silhouette has been translated into a bold pendant that works as a focal point over dining tables, kitchen islands or in high-ceilinged rooms.

The fixture uses a multi-tiered, bell-shaped metal shade with a wide flared rim to create a clear, directional downlight. The Original 1227 Giant is offered in a wide range of finishes to suit contemporary and more playful interior schemes.

Built from metal with polished chrome accents to the canopy and top cap, the pendant shows the brand's technical, industrial heritage. The interior of the shade is finished to maximise light reflection, helping deliver efficient downward illumination.

This pendant provides task-led ambient light; the large 45cm shade concentrates output downward for table and island use while the white inner surface balances the beam and reduces harsh shadow. Suspension is via a single slender cable, allowing the height to be set during installation to suit the space.

Key product dimensions are: shade diameter 45cm, shade height 47cm, ceiling rose diameter 10cm and cable length 400cm. The pendant is IP20 rated for interior dry zones.
