A-Emotional Light Pendant

The A-Emotional Light Pendant is a ceiling-mounted pendant light by A-Emotional Light, designed by Arturo Álvarez. The piece is part of a collection that explores an industrial material made to feel filmy and light, and the design won a Good Design Award in 2009.

Formally the pendant is composed of gathered, overlapping mesh veils that create an irregular, cloud-like silhouette. The layers vary in density and transparency depending on viewing angle, producing a sculptural focal object for living spaces and high-ceilinged interiors.

Constructed from galvanized painted steel mesh, the fixture uses fine metal veils with a subtle grid texture to reproduce the appearance of semi-transparent fabric. The pendant is suspended by a thin transparent power cord and a discrete metal support cable, emphasising the airy profile while retaining durable construction.
