STORY

The Artemide Floor Support for A012820 is a purpose-built floor lamp base from Artemide. Made from aluminium with a polished metallic finish, it provides the structural foundation required to compose the A012820 lamp.

Formally the support combines a flat, circular disc with a pattern of fine concentric grooves on the top surface and a slender cylindrical vertical pole rising from the centre. A black plastic cable-management clip is fixed to the pole and a black power cord exits from the base area, keeping wiring neat and routed within the stand.

The unit is manufactured in metal (aluminium) with a monochromatic silver/chrome appearance and a wide base footprint designed to improve stability on flat floors. The textured concentric rings give a restrained, industrial-leaning aesthetic while remaining visually quiet in a scheme.

This component functions as the primary floor support and electrical routing point for the A012820 lamp model. It is rated IP20 and therefore intended for indoor use; the visible cord and clip indicate integrated electrical routing from the base up the pole.
