The classic flattering approach places vertical sconces on either side of the mirror at face height. This cross-lighting eliminates under-eye shadows created by overhead lighting alone.

Approach Detail

Mount sconces at 60-66" centerline from floor. Position 36-40" apart (flanking mirror edges). Specify diffused sources (no visible bulbs). Warm CCT (2700-3000K) for skin flattering. Supplement with ambient overhead. Use separate dimming if possible.
