Perimeter cove pool lighting

Instead of discrete underwater fixtures, run LED in a continuous perimeter cove or trough at waterline. This creates an even glow around the pool edge, illuminating water without visible point sources.

Install IP68-rated LED strip in recessed cove at waterline (or just below). Continuous run around perimeter. 3000-4000K typically preferred (cooler reads as cleaner water). RGBW option for experience modes. Diffused output - no visible LED dots. Pair with minimal deck lighting to avoid surface glare.
