Rather than simple downlight ambient with spot accents, this approach builds ambient from multiple layers: general ceiling illumination, perimeter wall wash that draws the eye outward, and decorative elements (pendants, sconces) that add warmth and interest.

Layer 1: General ambient from downlights at 250-300 lux. Layer 2: Wall wash on perimeter at 400-500 lux vertical (draws eye and makes space feel larger). Layer 3: Decorative fixtures (pendants over key areas) adding atmosphere. Layer 4: Product accent at 800-1000 lux. The rich ambient allows lower accent ratio while maintaining visual interest.
