Flexible track hybrid system

A single track infrastructure accommodates both wall wash fixtures for general illumination and adjustable spotlights for accent emphasis. Curators can switch between even washing for salon-style hangs and dramatic spotlighting for featured works. The hybrid approach provides maximum exhibition flexibility.

Medium Mid-Range
Approach Detail

Install continuous track runs parallel to walls at 1-1.2m from wall face (optimal for 3-4m ceiling heights). Use wall wash fixtures with asymmetric reflectors at 0.6-1m spacing for even coverage. Add adjustable spotlights at 1-2m spacing for accent capability. Wire on separate circuits for independent dimming. Wall wash provides base illumination at 75% of target; accents add the additional 25% for featured works. All fixtures dimmable 1-100% for fine tuning. Track sections align with typical artwork widths (0.6-1m modules) for clean geometry.

Key Fixtures

High-quality track system with dual circuits, asymmetric wall wash fixtures, adjustable accent spotlights with framing shutters, compatible LED sources.

Designer Notes

Show two configurations of the same gallery: one using wall wash for an even salon-style hang, one using accent spotlighting for a dramatic single-work presentation. Demonstrate the flexibility. Include a detail of the track showing both fixture types installed.

Best For
Teaching museums with rotating exhibitions, galleries with varied curatorial styles, spaces that shift between solo shows and group presentations.
