Neatly tucked away in historic Joy's Entry sits McCracken's Café Bar. The entry, which runs between High Street and Anne Street is named after Henry Joy McCracken an 18th century political reformer and United Irishman who, it is said, walked to the gallows from the Old Belfast Jailhouse. But that is as far as the historical influences go. The bar itself is truly 21st century urban chic and caters for those who want a comfortable and relaxed meal or drink and a feeling that they can leave the hustle and bustle of Belfast city far behind when in fact they are only a stones-throw away from it all.
